GORUCK MACV-2 Origins Edition is a Modern Take on the Vietnam-era Jungle Boot

Looking for a tough boot better-suited to harsher conditions, be it mountain, forest, or jungle? The MACV-2 may be just the thing.

Created by former special operator Richard Rice (of the 5th Special Forces Group), the boots draw on the classic jungle boot used by soldiers during the Vietnam War, but add in modern upgrades to make them truly hard-wearing and versatile.

The triple-compound rubber outsole offers amazing traction on wet, muddy, and marshy ground, as well as protection for your feet in any terrain. The MACV-2 midsole offers amazing stability across uneven fields or jungle trails, as well as heel and arch support. Guys with larger, wider feet will love the roomy toe box, which gives your feet space to swell over long hours of walking or hiking.

The 13mm offset is the ideal choice for both long ruck marches and trudging through the city burdened by the weight of your work backpack.

The leather upper of the Origins Edition looks stylish but is still fully waterproof and resistant to damage from wet and damp. Heavier guys will also appreciate the dual-density compression foam inserts that offer amazing cushioning and reduce impact.

Wherever you’re headed, whatever terrain you’ll face, these hardcore military-inspired boots are built to tackle it with ease.
