Tag Heuer Revived a Classic: the Carrera Skipper

TAG Heuer is bringing back its iconic Skipper, but with some gorgeous upgrades.

A few important details remain the same: it still retains the blue color from the Intrepid that was first introduced in 1968, and it’s still very much designed to be a sailing watch, with vintage-inspired typography and conventional markers.

But the glassbox design has been upgraded with a sleeker, more modern look, and the word Carrera takes the place historically reserved for Skipper (at 12 o’clock, with Skipper being shifted to 9 o’clock).

In addition to the iconic sub-dials, the watch has added the date (located at 6 o’clock) and a subtle seconds display featuring alternating orange and white markers.

Thanks to its 39mm case, 100-meter water resistance, and automatic-winding TAG Heuer caliber TH20-06 (with an 80-hour power reserve), it’s a sailing watch that will look stunning and deliver on every function you need.
