The Tanker Duffel from Porter is Inspired by 1950s-era MA-1 Flight Jackets

Like all of Porter’s products, this duffel bag was designed around the Japanese concept of “mottanai” (which literally means “waste nothing”).

It’s an ultra-practical bag that takes full advantage of its 32L size to give you ample storage both inside and out thanks to its many pockets. The heavy-duty cordura nylon exterior is also water-resistant and tough enough to withstand the rigors of your daily commute or international travel. Carrying it around is easy thanks to the provided padded shoulder strap (which is removable) and the sturdy leather-reinforced webbing handles.

But don’t think for a minute that it skimps out on form in favor of function. The bag is designed to evoke the 1950s-era MA-1 flight jackets, with all the quilting and silver-toned hardware you’d find on those classic bomber jackets. There’s even a signature luminous orange lining to make the interior of the bag more visible. One look at this gorgeous handcrafted bag and you’ll agree that the premium price is well worth the quality.
