For hypercars, electric is the new frontier and the $2 million plus Pininfarina Battista shows how to do them properly. The svelte design is classically beautiful while it hides a 1900-hp electric powertrain underneath along with a sci-fi platform shared with Rimac.
It’s as fast as you’d expect with the 0-60 mph run taking only 1.8 seconds and it will easily reach its 217-mph top-speed in no time. It is also quite practical with a 230 miles per charge though owners will most likely never drive it that much to trouble that figure.
The best bit though is its “Suono Puro” soundtrack which emits a deep burble at idle speeds and has been curated for the driver’s wellbeing. Does that beat the sound of a V12? We will see but for now, the Battista is one of the coolest hypercars out there for sure.
