We may have come to the end of an era with the James Bond films (the “Daniel Craig era”), but the legendary spy’s style lives on in Omega’s latest watches. Made to commemorate Mr. Bond’s 60th anniversary, the Seamaster Diver 300M 60 Years of James Bond is an upgraded and modernized version of the Seamaster 300 that debuted in 1957 and appeared in the film GoldenEye.
The stainless steel model features an oxalic-anodized aluminum bezel, rich blue dial displaying laser-engraved waves, mesh-style bracelet, and the iconic “silhouetted Bond and spinning gun barrel” image from the movies’ famous credits sequences.
But the real luxury is in the 18-karat Canopus Gold model, which pairs a natural gray silicone dial with a tribute to Ian Fleming’s home of Jamaica displayed on the bezel in the form of green and yellow-treated diamonds.
Both are powered by the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Caliber—the 8806 for the stainless steel, and the 8807 for the gold model—guaranteeing the accuracy and reliability that has made Omega the watchmaker of choice for the world’s greatest spy.
