Land Rover has a long history as a fabled British Marque known for its off-roaders and most notably the big Range Rover or the Defender. However, the roots of this car-maker started with the iconic Series One while the Defender was first called 90 and 110, denoting the body styles.
The 1992 Defender 110 somehow combined a few modern interior elements while being an honest-to-god off-roader. The driving position is terrible along with the lack of ergonomics but its simple ethos of being only an off-roader did endear with its fans. The rugged charm and capability made this Defender an icon before the new generation came in.
Commonwealth Classics performed a roof to tire restoration on this beauty including a fully rebuilt drivetrain and a full spiffing of the interior. Head to their site for more details, lots of photos and browse other vehicles that come and go through their busy shop in Virginia.
