Sonos is known for offering top-quality speakers and sound bars sold at a higher-than-average price. Now, however, they’ve released the Ray, a soundbar that strikes just the right balance between sound quality and affordable cost.
Retailing at $279, this Wi-Fi enabled speaker connects to your devices (TV, phone, or computer) and other Sonos speakers (including the Sub for extra bass) to create true wireless surround sound. Because it uses optical audio instead of HDMI, the audio bandwidth is slightly reduced and it’s incompatible with Dolby Atmos. However, with the two tweeters, two central mid-woofers, four Class-D amplifiers, and a bass reflex system, it still delivers high-quality, crystal clear sound no matter what you play.
