Balloon to the Edge of Space

Space tourism today is only for eccentric billionaires. But soon a futuristic balloon ride will be taking us to new heights, for a taste of space. A start-up called Space Perspectives with a big balloon and $40M in funding is scheduling their first “trip” for 2024, in which it will take passengers on a slow ascent to 20 miles above sea level before drifting back to earth to splash down in the sea.
