Herman Miller’s Iconic Aeron Chair Now Made from Ocean Plastics

Herman Miller’s 90s-era Aeron task chair is a truly iconic design, recognized by the Museum of Modern Art. Now this enduring design wades into new territory—the next-gen Aeron will be constructed from ocean plastics. Material sourced from plastic bottles & fishing nets from India & Indonesia. The brand expects to capture 150 tons of plastic from the ocean with this initial launch. That’s about 23 million plastic bottles. This is sustainability at scale & it looks great to us. Comfy, too.
