Coming into the Ford Trucks lineup as a sort of hybrid mini-Ranger, the 2022 Ford Maverick is a small truck that boasts a solid 40 MPG and a range of 500 miles. Its 4.5-foot bed offers 1,500-pound payload and the powertrain offers a towing capacity of 4,000-pounds. It’s built on the same crossover platform shared by the new Bronco and (gasp) the Escape, and is front-wheel drive only, making it a superb city truck and functional daily driver.
