Danish watchmaker REC specializes in recovering iconic automotive objects and transforming the materials into watches—not just inspired by motorsport history but literally made of it. Their latest creation is a pair of limited watches made with metal sourced from two one-off Shelby EXP500 prototypes: the 1967 Little Red and the ’68 Green Hornet. These two prototypes were assumed lost to rust or the wrecking ball but were discovered in 2019 and underwent proper resto. Leftover metal from that project is utilized throughout these one-of-a-kind watches.
