Spalding is celebrating it’s 125th anniversary by releasing a recreation of its original horween leather basketball design from 1894. Dr. James Naismith, the creator of the sport requested the design from Albert Goodwill Spalding who included a “No. M” stamp to confirm that each ball is a Match Play ball, an A.G. Spalding and Bros. stamp and leather stitches. 125 editions will go live on Spalding’s website following tip-off at Game 1 of the NBA Finals tonight. Be quick if you want one.
