DeskSpace is a 3-D model of our solar system created with polished gemstones representing the sun and each of the nine planets, all sized to scale and polished to a mirror finish. The sun, made of golden Calcite is a Solar Mood Lamp that sits on a lighted pedestal which makes it glow (powered by USB). The nine planets of the solar system, each made of a different material to match their actual appearance, sit in their own anodized aluminum base.
