Take A Look Behind The Razor Wire: Inside North Korea

Inside North Korea is a collection of more than 300 photos that artfully document and showcase the country’s capital city of Pyonyang—which was completely rebuilt from scratch after the 1953 bombings that leveled it. This collection features eerie images of the communist-focused architecture with insightful captions, as well as an introductory essay where photographer Oliver Wainwright charts the history and development of Pyongyang, explaining how the architecture and interiors embody the national “Juche” ideology and questioning what the future holds for the architectural ambitions of this enigmatic country.
