Infiniti’s Prototype 9 Electric Merges the 1940s with the Future

Unveiled at the annual Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance auto event, the Prototype 9 from Infiniti is a 1940s-inspired electric race car. The body of the car was completely handmade with panels hand-beaten and shaped by artisans at Nissan. The drivetrain however, is modern: it’s got a 120kW (148hp) electric motor powered by a 30kWh lithium-ion battery that goes 0-62mph  in 5.5 seconds with a top speed of 106mph. Unfortunately, it’s one-of-a-kind. At least for now.
