Most pro photo cameras use one large sensor to capture a single large image. The Light L16 device uses 16 separate sensors and lens modules that each take separate images (10 each) at different focal lengths, and then combine them into a single 52 megapixel composite image. The smartphone-style design makes it a lighter, smaller alternative to carrying a big DSLR without sacrificing image quality.
