For the strap, Schott used the same Federal Standard military color 30099 Earth Brown leather their flight jackets were made from. Classic. The edition is limited to 1892 pieces; a nod to an important year for both brands.

Marlon Brando was perfectly dark & creepy in his performance as colonel Kurtz in 1979’s Apocalypse Now. In the film, the deranged commander gone MIA in the jungle wore a very unique Rolex GMT-Master which will soon go up for auction. During filming the watch was deemed “too nice” & the bezel was removed—and is still gone. The case back has a homemade engraving of M. Brando that the actor did himself. A very rare Rolex indeed.
