With this post we send our sincerest condolences out to all the motorcycle makers who think they make cool bikes. With the AMB 001, Aston Martin just unveiled its first foray into 2-wheel design. The sculptural, retro-futuristic styling is backed by an equally epic V-twin turbocharged engine built through a partnership with Brough Superior Motorcycles; it cranks out 180 horsepower. Only 100 of these beauties will be made, act fast.

Hennessey Performance’s Jeep Gladiator MAXIMUS is a 1000-horsepower off-road animal. Based on a 2020 Gladiator, it has a Hellcat supercharged V8 under the hood. Getting stuck sucks & even if a tow-truck is an option, waiting is wack, too. The TreadReady Adirondack Strap can help you out. Using universal ratchet straps and tough traction strips that go across the tread face, a few of these on the active wheel (or wheels) of your vehicle, and you’ll be back on the road quick. Faster & easier than snow chains, they also work for mud and sand surfaces. They’re just as easy to remove & store in a compact case in your car.

Kawasaki just took the wrapper off the hotly anticipated Z H2, a ridiculously fast naked street fighter powered by their supercharged 197-horse H2 motor. With a few simple mods the motor can reach 300Hp. Even stock though, it’s a lot of bike—and obviously, the powerplant dominates the design. It features cruise control, traction control, multiple power modes, launch control, ABS and other advanced safety systems but riders basically climb up onto the motor and hang on. Available mid 2020.
Daniel Craig has a cool job. In addition to playing the icon of cool, James Bond in films, the actor moonlights as an exotic car designer. True. He teamed up with his pals at Aston Martin to design the coolest Christmas gift we’ve ever seen, an ultra limited-edition DBS Superleggera with custom features, like the wheels seen in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service & an exclusive blue on blue color scheme. The 715-horsepower V12 is cool, too. Listed as one of Neiman Marcus’ annual “Fantasy Gifts,” only 007 of these supercars will be built.
AM General, the military contractor that developed the original Hummer teamed up with Jeep on the Gladiator Extreme Military-Grade Truck (XMT), a lightweight off-roader that could bring Jeep back to battlefields for America for the first time in 20 years. Depends on how many, if any, the U.S. military orders. Based on the current model Wrangler, the Gladiator pickup features a battle-ready design but few tech specs have been released except for the mil-spec model, there’s a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 under the hood.
First off, the 2020 BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe is not a coupe, it’s a four-door. Rivaling Mercedes’ A Class & Audi’s A3, it’s a solid choice in the entry-level luxury category. Larger than Beemer’s other 2 series cars and smaller than the 3 series, the Gran Coupe’s defining feature is its sloping, fastback-ish rear profile. Available with several options for performance/power, it is every bit the refined, modern BMW inside & out.
