Lightyear One is a Solar-Assist Electric with a 450-Mile Range

The Lightyear One is a promising prototype from the engineers & solar-power scientists at Lightyear. Due to hit the streets as soon as 2021, it’s a plug-in electric that boasts 450-miles of range & features integrated solar panels all over the body. The car is powered by a 4-pack of electric motors & goes from 0-62 in 10 seconds. The solar panels can supply the car with up to 12km of range per hour—which is sweet progress—as these solar cells are up to 20% more efficient than the standard. Pre-order for the first 500 cars is open now.
