Groundbreaking digital cinema camera company RED has now created Hydrogen One, a high-end Android-powered smartphone with a holographic 3D display. It uses nanotechnology that allows users to switch “seamlessly between holographic multi-view content, 3D content, and interactive games.” It also uses an algorithm to convert stereo sound into “multi-dimensional audio” and though there are few details at this point, modular camera accessories will also be available. Due out late 2018.
